Most Business owners see credit card acceptance as just an option to accept payment. Although true it can be so much more. First making sure you have the right plan is important to keep the cost down. In Today's Economy approximately 40% of customers prefer to do business with companies that accept credit card and when they do they spend 50% more. A retail establishment can offer its customers to join their loyalty program. The Loyalty program is a great way to reward your customer for doing business with by keeping track of their visit and purchases and customizing a reward  such as a free item or a discount, This gives the customer an incentive to shop with you rather than the competition. Also it is a great way to brand your business as your company name and logo appear on the loyalty card and is always visible the their wallet.
The Second way that a retail business can increase revenue is offering Gift card. Gift card are great way to bring in new customers and those customers generally spend 50% more than the gift card amount. Also about 10% of gift cards are never redeemed therefor that is revenue without providing a service.
Having said that majority of business owners are unaware of this services and don't fully take advantage of it.
